Our goals
The GTF project enriches learning and enhances opportunities for regional and remote students of Tropical and North Queensland by:
- Strengthening students' study aspirations and building transitions to university through targeted approaches to:
- maximising the potential of gifted students
- strengthening outcomes for Indigenous students
- lifting outcomes for socioeconomically disadvantaged students and students from regional, rural and remote backgrounds
- Building positive student and community attitudes and connections to university education with particular focus on the future opportunities within James Cook University
- Boosting outcomes and pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) within the tropics
- Delivering a blended model of enrichment via virtual and face to face learning
